It is a way of finding the inner-peace with the overwhelming loneliness, emptiness and sorrow.

But also a way of dancing with Joy, leaving hurt feelings watching.

To jest moja religia.

To sposób na ujarzmienie wewnętrznej wojny z przytłaczającą samotnością, pustką i smutkiem.

Ale także sposób na wyzwalający taniec z Radością, na pozostawienie zranionych uczuć na widowni.

Pure anxiety.

Alone.

At peace.

With nature.

Yellow rome

Yellow was probably the favourite color of Confucius and Buddhist monks. In Hinduism, yellow symbolizes wisdom, knowledge and science, it is the color of the teacher.

Yellow is stimulating. It is the color of self-confident people. It improves mood and self-esteem. In addition, it stimulates the brain and improves the ability to remember (well, I will remember this while painting the walls in the children's room ;)

On the other hand, it is also a color with a less optimistic overtone by identifying it with mental disorders and madness, as well as jealousy and betrayal.

I wondered about this color sitting on the roofs of Trastevere in May this year. Below, nearby but barely audible street sounds, joyful conversations, restaurant sounds. The orchestra of sounds, in combination with the picturesque view, calmed me… The yellow around me was interesting and disturbing at the same time. I sat there staring at the sky and its heavy charcoal grey blue (specialists would probably chase me for such a term;) with an intriguing yellow. 

It all impressed me in this moment: Rome and yellow.

żółty


Żółty był ponoć ulubionym kolorem Konfucjusza oraz buddyjskich mnichów. W hinduizmie żółty symbolizuje mądrość, wiedzę i naukę, to kolor nauczyciela.

Żółty ponoć stymuluje. Jest kolorem osób pewnych siebie. Poprawia nastrój oraz poczucie własnej wartości. Oprócz tego stymuluje pracę mózgu i poprawia zdolność zapamiętywania (hmm, zapamiętam zatem malując ściany w pokoju dziecięcym ;)

Z drugiej strony jest również kolorem o mniej optymistycznym wydźwięku poprzez utożsamianie go z zaburzeniami psychicznymi i szaleństwem, a także zazdrością i zdradą.

Zastanawiałam się nad tą barwą siedząc na dachach Trastevere w maju tego roku. W dole, niedalekie ale ledwo słyszalne dźwięki ulicy, radosnych rozmów, restauracyjnych odgłosów. Orkiestra tych dźwięków w zestawieniu z malowniczym widokiem uspokajały mnie, żółta barwa ciekawiła i niepokoiła zarazem. Siedziałam zapatrzona w niebo i połączenie jego garfitowego, ciężkiego błękitu (specjaliści pogoniliby mnie najpewniej za takie określenie ;) z intrygującym żółtym.

Zazsał mnie: i Rzym i żółty.
